Tips for players

Sure, they're cute now, but in a second they're gonna get mean, and they're gonna get ugly somehow, and there's gonna be a million more of them.

I'm just a glorified extra, Fred. I'm a dead man anyway. If I'm gonna die, I'd rather go out a hero than a coward.

Nature abhoors a vacuum...so do living beings. Treasure thy Vacc Suit more than your genitals.

THE LAW LEVEL IS THERE FOR A REASON.

Jump 1 is lame, Jump 2 is better, Jump 3 is good, Jump 4 for is asking for a GM smackdown, Jump 5-6 will get Imperial authorities all over your ass.

Assume every Zhodani you meet is a Psion even if told otherwise.

Actually, assume every Zhodani you meet is a Psion even if proven otherwise.

In the same vein, visiting Zhodani space without state-of-the-art mind shielding technology is an exercise in idiocy and your brain deserves what's coming to it.

Forget the stats, all wepons of mass destruction TL5 and above are GM fiat, plot points or McGuffins. PC parties will never have them.

If they do, they are in deep trouble.

Forcing misjumps "just for the heck of it" or "because this campaign is boring and going nowhere" is justifiable cause for GM-Player homicide.

The SOC table is only valid for NPCs. SOC 0-A PCs are scum. SOC B+ PCs are poncy git scum in outrageous outfits.

There is no "Stun", there's only "Living", "Killed" and "Plasmafied beyond recognition".

If the TL0 tribal natives think you are a God, ACT like one.

Hint: Gods don't bleed.

Despite all false claims to the contrary Traveller IS NOT Firefly, not even close. Acting like that jackass Cpt Malcom Reynolds is going to get you killed very fast.

Hint 1: Six-shooters and a bad attitude are no match against Battledress + PGMP.

Hint 2: Carrying live cattle can put a strain on your Life Support System.

Hint 3: The average Zhodani child could hand River Tam her own ass twice over.

Hint 4: Traveller lacks SOC A+ "courtesans" permanently living in High Passage on Class A Free Traders that can insult Imperial nobles and get away with it.

Hint 5: Plently of regular hookers at the local Starport tough...

And never forget the 4Fs.

Find em'
Feed em'
F*** em'
Forget em'

Not practicing them can be very detrimental to some significant portion of your playing group.
