Tholians

Quick query on Tholians as they appear popular in my club for the first play in that arena.

Has anyone come up with a rule for the Pinwheel yet in ACtA?

Has anyone come up with a terrain ruleset for static long term laid web?

I plan to have webs as a terrain feature for a scenario and use them as follows:
Static Web is a 1" wide, up to 12" long(?) terrain feature. Its ends must be in contact with another terrain feature.
Only phasers may fire through web. All targets fired at through web count as having Stealth Rating at +2 (5 if no stealth)
Seeking Weapons may not fire at targets in the web, nor may they be fired by ships in web.
All non-phaser weapons fired into or from web count their targets as having Stealth at a +2 bonus (5 if no stealth)
Entering a web at high speed counts as entering an asteroid field of Density equal to the speed of the vessel that turn (ships moving less than 6" into web are safe).
Exiting a web field costs 8" of movement. Movement within the web must be in a straight line. Vessels that remain on the spot may turn as normal.

Comments?

Yeah, I had spotted that and actually I had assumed that it was going to be something that sat on a Tholian as a blob of defensive web....or once we get casters on someone else's ship gunging them up.....rather than big strings of shiny web.

It will be great to have more Tholians and a different web rule that better captures (pun intended) its role in the TV series.

Just don't make it "too good" with asteriods - as man we play with way more asteroids in ACTA than we ever did in SFB!

One way of keeping the asteroid and web theme but not messing up the game too much would be to make web in an asteroid field increase the density by one for each ship actively doing it - makes for an area of fortification, but doesn't mean web all over the battlefield
