Despite just having spent over £100 on minis, I am very temoted to try and add a Vorlon Fleet box to my order.

Anyone give me reasons for or against?

hmm why not.............won't ahve to worry about your boresight with the LC and HC F arc Quad damage beams :)

I'm having the same problem with the Shadows fleet box tempting me. At the end of the day though, with the Shadows and Vorlons you pretty much only need what's in the fleet box, so it's not as if you need to put a massive amount of money into them.
 
Sorry.. after always saying I wasn't going to pick up the Minbari FB I broke down today and did, along with some Sharlins and other assorted bits.

I think that will be it though, not so interested in the minor league fleets.
 
I dunno, I'd get the FB, one of the Arma level Vorlon ships and maybe a couple more fighter blisters, so less than £70 all in, but I'd not be overly likely to build, paint and use them.

While there aspects of the fleet that interest me (uber beams of doom) they're not as manoeuvrable as WS, and if I want to go more beamy than ISA I can always use my Minbari fleet.

The trouble is, thnat's also what's drawing me to Vorlons, it's the next natural progression from Minbari & ISA.

Just realised, that extra £70 quid would take me up to the £180 I couldn't justify spending on fleets before I decided to cut back and only buy ISA.

Ah weell, maybe my willpower will break, I'll do some sums and see how the bank balance is doing after yesterday's spending before I decide.

Keep the advice coming please.

nearly right - he does buy them and then they then presumably go in a huge pile of unused stuff! :)
 
Yeah, my local gaming store had an old Shadow fleet box just sitting there and I though "I'd only need two more scouts and 4 blisters of fighters" and went for it. Too bad I failed math and only ordered the 4 instead of the 5 blisters that I actually needed.
 
Seriously dude - stop buying, and start painting the ones you have. If you start *NOW* you may (I repeat may) have painted them all by the time Mongoose restarts mini production...that or the world ends, whichever comes first ;)
 
Well I've pretty much decided not to get Vorlons.

I am going to focus on my ISA< with my Minbos as a second fleet (Those 5 Sharlins really bulk out the points)

I'll be starting a thread about squadronning the ISA fleet I'm building later.
