The Referee Screen is available... comments?

Unless Mongoose makes major changes to what's in the core rulebook, that won't be a problem.

Of course, if they put out a free pdf with whatever tables are updated so they can be printed and attached over the (now) incorrect ones that would extend the life of the screen.

LBH, I hear what you are saying. In 2008 I tried to order some of the 3rd ed GURPS books through my FLGS and even with prepaying for them only got two of the four... the other two were some how "out of stock, no longer in print"... I just went back to the SJGames website online store and ordered them there.

One of our major bookstore chains had that problem when Kenzer&Co released the "Kingdom of Kalamar Atlas". The warehouse kept saying "out of print" even though the book had just released last month. Turns out the buyer for that dept wouldn't order it even after repeated contacts from the owner/Pres of K&C. The manager of the store I was helping actually had to go to a game store to buy what he should have had in his own store.

I ordered mine as soon as it was released... damm those carrier pidgons look tired when they dropped it off.

I got a copy of this from another gamer, and I like it; it's laid out fairly well and is easily readable. I thought a couple of the sections were a bit oddly organized at first but on a second reading I understood it.

One thing that I think they did well was separating the task system, the vehicle combat system and the starship combat system.

Got mine yesterday, not out of the cellophane yet so no idea how awesome or unsticky it is.

I have opened it and unfortunately it suffers the problem of sticky residue.

I'll email Matt later, I have just about given up trying to fix my upgraded AVG Internet software, it works fine unless I want to run a virus scan, at which point it crashes my computer.
