I could see how that would be, all those T-Bolts. My best advice is to paint one first, to find the scheme you like, then settle in for mass production.

Oh yes, keeping your work table neat and orderly is a good Idea. (my table may not a good example) Especially when doing lots of something small.

Just wind some masking tape around the back of the bit to bulk it out - as long as it will still fit into the chuck afterwards. You may also want to try and untwist the whole chuck assembly where the bit fits in, some of them are reversible. My GW one has a different sized one on either end.

Basically unscrew everything in sight and and see what happens. It'll go back together afterwards....

As for painting, use a small brush. Water your paint down a lot and apply in thin coats. Use a spray undercoat. Practice on any spare sprue's, large lumps of flash, random tat or cheap minis.
