BuShips said:Thanks Jellicoe, Starship Troopers actually lends itself quite well to a many varied terrain option, being able to make rock spires and other alien landscape. It's too bad that I can't really make much up in the way of terrain for naval games as it's just a matter of tossing out a blue cloth over a table, heh. I have been thinking of some ideas regarding coastal ports and naval bases (Pearl Harbor?). Maybe I'll make up a bunch of tropical islands, but they wouldn't necessarily be to ship scale. I'm coming up with some good ideas for urban structures for use with Battlefield Evo that could also be used with SST currently. Stay tuned.

One could always have a coastline with some artillery emplacements for a ship to shore duel.

Rob_alderman said:Ainsty are your best bet for resin scenery. Armourcast are great for full buildings and little things.
CmdrKiley said:Well MegaMiniatures just bought Armorcast and Scotia/Grendel (another maker of great resin terrain pieces).
Evil's Worst Fear said:BuShips, CmdrKiley - that's amazing terrain from both of you. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I didn't receieve the e-mail telling me I had had replies. But wow, that's a lot I missed
And thanks everyone for being so polite and welcoming to me.
I have a brief question, and I know it shows how much of a beginner I am - but what did you do when you modelled your Control Bugs? Did you cut the, and I hate to call it this because I'm sure it has a name, 'excess metal which would slot into the stand', or did you attach the Bug to the base using this so it's hind legs hung back over the edge of the base?
