Welcome to a 'Quick Ship' guide to the humble Type A Class Free Trader...
And a couple of not-so-humble variants that are disguised as helpless cargo carriers,
but have a 50 dton missile bay, and a particle beam barbette respectively.
These are privately funded and licensed, so have a Marine squad and an armed launch in
there is any salvage to be had. They also have room for cargo, or recovered material from
any unwary Pirates they come across......

This guide contains:-

  • 25 pages of ship art
  • Ship statistics and description
  • Descriptions of the 3 variants
  • Crew manifests
  • 38 pages of deck plans (empty and cluttered)
  • Random ship location chart.
  • Random ship problems
  • Random stateroom contents
  • Includes plans for an armed Ship's Launch
  • A choice of 8 pre-generated character cards for a player crew
  • VTT capable files (in one zipped file)

Nice! Can't buy it yet (thanks, shutdown) but soon I hope. I love your work!

Hey just a question while I've got you here - while the A2L Far Trader book is one of my favorites are you ever going to give the plain old 200 dT A2 Far Trader your treatment? I know I can just "cut out" the stretch section of the A2L but I think the history of the class as an "open source" plan makes it a fascinating potential subject.

Oh yes, I can do that and I just updated the ship model. So yes, consider it in the pipeline

Because, like launch tubes and spinal mounts, you have to integrate that from the keel up.

However, if that still applies to the current edition, I can't recall.

It would be an oddly configured cargo bay, if you tried building one into a freighter.
