Again about the game I am going to be running ;)

I have run varius campaigns before but not one for Runequest, and because of cash will be using Runequest on; so two questions.

Is there anything specific I should look out for using the system?

When getting parties to gel is there any Elric specific advice that you more experienced Elric players may have picked up?

Many thanks

Mate, I'm running a campaign with the following active PC's:
Pan Tangian Warrior Priest: Pact (Chardros)
Karasim Warrior
Melnibonean Champion
Melnibonean Sorcerer
Myyrrhn Healer
Myyrrhn Shaman

This racial diversity IMHO is not good for the game as there is developing a bit of racial tension. Not that this isn't fun, or producing some interesting moments; just that it's more difficult designing scenarios because they all have different motivations & outlooks etc.

If I was doing this over, I would probably insist that all the PC's have at least one thing in common; race, culture, Cult membership and so on.

I started a Clockwork & Chivalry campaign last night -- mostly spent creating characters. It's a setting where there is a lot of strife, and my player party has a diversity of beliefs.

My advice is to use the Connections section on page 25 -- since it's after a long section of background 'fluff' I almost skipped over it. It's a good way to get players to link their characters together, and they get skill bonuses for it.

I'd recommend you allow at least a couple Connections per character, so that your players have a weave of reasons to work together.

Then give them a plausible reason to be in one place (or make them come up with it) and start the action.

Steve
