Can anyone point me to any Starship troopers miniature game community or resources?

I recently brought my mobile infantry out of storage and was dissapointed to learn this line was dropped.

Thanks.

There are some people in the Battlefield Evo sec. Also Evo Command can help too http://forum.evocommand.com/viewforum.php?f=22&sid=0f546078fe241f42985ed86a9da59720.

Yeah I had brought all my stuff out again and some of it is still in the bloody boxes and decided to get back into it. And realized that it is no longer in production which is a shame as there were pieces I would have loved to have gotten my hands on.

Out of curiosity, why did Mongoose stop producing Starship Trooper stuff. It was extremely fun, the rules were pretty easy to learn, the models looked awesome, and its based of my most favourite - if underdeveloped - sci-fi "universe", so to speak.

It was actually the game that got me into miniature games, and taught me that there was more than one type of dice aside from D6s (was really confused when my friend started saying how such and such a weapon rolls 3 D10, while another weapon rolls 2D6 + 1 :? :D )

I just picked up this game up a few weeks ago at a nice discount at a local hobby store. Ive been picking up a ton of stuff online as well, and I played my first couple games this past weekend.

For a game that has been canceled, it sure is fun. I'm still picking up more online, and my friends really like it.

It is a shame that there isnt any future for the game. Ill be watching ebay and bartertown for a while.. It be nice to find some people online that still play this game to chat with and such.

I love the scale of the models. I play a lot of other minis game, and when I first opened the box to the Tanker bug and plasma bug I was like WTF, this thing is HUGE.

I have been picking up stuff for the last year or so at some great prices at a couple conventions I go to. This was my first introduction to miniature gaming as well. I have seen al kinds of other miniature systems but thought this would be very fun to start with. I have escalated my Arachnid Bug and MI Platoon hordes up to over 100 miniatures. Other gamers and I liked the system so much I dove into building my own terrain boards and terrain. I am actually in the process of building a modular MI Outpost that you can fight inside as well. Here are a couple pics of my experience with SST so far which has been awesome.

BTW, for all you SST players, I designed a SST Database that prints out MI Platoons and Arachnid Armies report sheets that is run on Microsoft Access. I have also created 2 interactive PDF sheets of the reports from the database that you can use if you do not have Microsoft Access. You can see some of the reports in some of the pictures on the table and at the bottom. I am in the midst of updating the database to include Marauder Platoons as well and will be out some time soon. Its all free too at TheAgencyStar

Here are a couple pics at the latest ReCon Miniatures Convention in my neighborhood. I finally got my MI Outpost done and got to use it.

I like many, dicsovered Starship Troopers Miniature Game late on, as it were and was surprised to see it dropped.

And have been picking up boxes here and there, usually items lurking on the shelves of small shops.

But I have noted, well about the uk, that several smaller miniature companies produce various alien figures, which are easy to adapt, and there are a few sets of powered armour ranges out there too in 28mm scales.

So if you cannot get hold of the original mini's there are lots of oppurtunity to proxy them. The rules, though the rule book can be a bit of pain to find specifics in, are good and it plays fast and fun. Perfect for a club night.

Infact we still have several club members playing it, and it was them that introduced me to the fun and frolics of the game.

We also occasioanly play games where a GM will run the bugs, whilst each player has a squad to command. This often leads to a rather interesting if unco-ordinated game.

So if you haven't tried SST miniature game, grab a rule book from a games show or store, plenty kicking around and give it a try.

I thought I would post something here since I have made a couple downloads for the Starship Troopers Miniatures game. Everything can be found at TheAgencyStar

“Come on you apes…you want to live forever?”

Now available for download is the 2nd version of the Starship Troopers Database. This updated version fixes some of the field lengths on reports and adjusts the report sizes. It also includes a NEW report.

Now you can print off your own MARAUDER squad report with extra fields for Special qualities like Autoloader, Lock & Load and Poor Balance. The MARAUDER report also adds extra fields for Traits like Independent, Piercing/1 and Hits/4. The final addition to the database includes a new front switchboard that allows you to print the Starship Troopers Traits Quick Reference Guide straight from the database.

So for all you hard-core Starship Troopers Miniatures fans that have Microsoft Access, this is the database for you. Check it out!

my collection for this game has gone crazy over the past 2 months

Its nice to see others still play this game online, and I've almost been able to get all the models I wanted. Still a few more bug types I'm looking for, but i watch ebay hourly lately for new stuff.
