Starship Troopers Evolution Tournament at Gen Con

I noticed that there was an SSTE tourny listed for Gen Con, but materials were not supplied, so I would assume that the rulebook will be available there or the very least cards for you to use with your existing models?

Anyone have any insight on this?

An SSTE Tournament?
I don't think that's a good idea since almost no one has seen the unit stats right now and many units players bring in won't be available.

Why not the old SST a last time?
Makes things much easier.

My question exactly. here are the details:

500 point patrol scenario tournament. Whether they choose to side with the Arachnids or Mobile Infantry, players will find they have a wide variety of options that extends far beyond army list choices - each force has an astounding array of tactics and ploys with which to defeat opponents, from capsule drops and tunnelling to the deployment of atomic weapons, air strikes and psychic Brain Bugs!

Maybe the rule will be available, just not the minis.

One of the volunteers for GenCon said that they had been given updated cards for use at the Con. (Sorry, don't remember who, and the thread was deleted.) So presumably the rules will be available in some form, even if it isn't the final publication. My assumption was that they would release the pdfs that they used in last weekend's event in time for people to pack for GenCon, but who knows?

I would pack for a regular SST tournament, myself. If I were ever able to get to GenCon, that is...

I'll be attending and plan to participate in the games. There was a time cutoff on purchasing advance event tickets, so I imagine anyone playing, myself included will have to buy generic tickets onsite.

Had this been added to the catalog earlier I might have played in it, but I am already committed to a couple of other games. I am playing in the B5 ACTA tourney though.
