Starship Troopers Evolution Questions

I am new Here and have been looking at purchasing Starship Troopers for a long time. However my local hobby store said that Starship Troopers Evolution would be comeing out soon and not to buy the old Starship Troopers models , this was in March and now it is Nowember and still no Starship Troopers Evolution.

So my questions are:

When does Starship Troopers Evolution come out to buy?

Why has it taken so long for it to be released?

You may not be able to answer these questions but I have lost patients and would like some firm answers.

There is no reason not to buy the "old" models. They will be completely compatible with SST:Evo.

So I there a Starship Troopers Evolution Rule book or should I buy the starter set that has the old rule book in it?

And:

When does Starship Troopers Evolution come out to buy?

No SST:Evo book yet. The Evo version of the game hasn't been released yet. Nobody knows exactly when it's going to come out. As far as the reasons, there seem to be a few, ranging from issues with the original factory Mongoose was using for its prepaints to negotiations with Sony, et al, regarding the direction Mongoose is taking the franchise.

For now, go ahead and get the Starter Box. You'll get 20 warriors and 16 MI troopers, plus a bunch of templates and the original rulebook. The Evolution rules will be different, but are based on the original rules. Getting the original rules should give you a handle on what to expect, and then the Evolution rules will be more streamlined and allow for faster play.

The basic SST:evo rules are the same as the Battlefield Evo rules, which are free for download on the site

LBH, I think he is suggesting that the BF:Evo rules are so bad and went so badly that MGP are probably re-writing SST:Evo as we speak.
Or at least considering it.

I hope they are rewriting it. The Evo rules were to iffy.
