Just got home so I can use facebook.

Not what I was thinking of when I saw scales on the post . Rather than a handful of raised areas I was thinking of a hull wide pattern.

Doesn't need to be raised like tat though more small raised areas over the whole hull to reflect all the updates the early ships received would be good.

What about a hull pattern across the whole hull?

Which do you think needs to be less rounded, the scales or the ships themselves?

Alittle better, helps break up the model a bit. What about having the top of the 'scales' at the same height at the rest of the hull? where the rings are broken up by the scales. this way the profile of the ship remains the same (no extra bumps ontop) but at the same time the ship isn't completely smooth.
