Star Trek CTA models: Resin vs. Metal?

I washed, cleaned off the flash, spray undercoated, then base coated. I'm not sure well the undercoat works on resin but the base coat did not go on well. I'll give it another coat tomorrow.

Although I posted a response of "they both have their points," in this particular case I prefer the metal ships to the resin ones as the metal ones are amazing castings and the resin ones... weren't.

The more I work on the metal, the better I prefer them to resin. They are simply cleaner casting and the detail is frankly, crisper.
