Ok, Standard probably isn't the right word but this is the equipment list I've come up with from CSC that are desirable for a party's ship, vehicle and individual character. I want to put together a list of standard equipment a party should have when they start out and what they should be working towards over their early career. I assume players will be limited to TL12 equipment to start with and all players have 10KCr for equipment minimum.
I'd like comments on what is good and what isn't in the list. Also, equipment from other sources would be welcome.
SHIP’S LOCKER
A ship’s locker does not need to include a full inventory of items from this catalogue but neither is it a bottomless pit of supplies, tools and ammunition. The Referee can assume that to maintain licensed ship certifications, the following will be available:
• Emergency soft suits for the standard crew complement, plus soft suit and/or rescue bubbles for the rated number of high and middle passengers. (2 per stateroom)
• Tools including electronic, mechanical and starship engineer toolsets, bulkhead patches (ship tonnage /10), one iris valve opener, one portable airlock.
• Survival kits for the rated number of crew and conscious passengers. (TL10 2 per stateroom)
• One medkit per eight rated crew and conscious passengers. (Ship TL up to TL12)
If Referees and Travellers want to keep track of ship’s locker equipment, they can assume a ship will start with additional equipment (typically including more advanced vacc suits, additional tools and civilian weapons) equal in value to 1/1000 the cost of the starship. This can include fabricators if the ship has a workshop and if the Referee approves.
(A typical starting ship is a Far Trader and has a cost of 54MCr, giving the Ship's Locker 54KCr.)
