Hooray for mongoose and better artwork!

Hot Time!

That looks truly awesome. Really captures the feel of the game - mind you, it feels a little odd, seeing little pockets of so differently equipped MI alongside one another like that. I particularly like the Power Suit trooper looking over the Light's shoulder so slyly.

Yeah, looks awesome. So, can we see a Forth vs. Skinnie panorama into the bargain? *g*

(Afterthought: Do Grizzly weapons fire from the shoulders like that? I always thought they retracted there when not in use. Minor quibble, but still.)[/b]

They're clearly the last few survivors of a bloody attack by the arachnid empire, gathering at the last rally point for a glorious last stand...
hrm  yes, Very nice picture

Actually, now that I look at it, there's a whole bunch more Lights around the base perimeter - mayhap it's a beleaguered firebase remnants of a Power Suit/Exosuit force have been repulsed to, and are now holding to maintain a strongpoint for other rallying forces?

very kool ! cant wait! wish santa would put that under my chrismas tree! im more excited about that rule book then any thing else !

I'm excited that the hoppers in the pic are plainly the movie style rather than the style of the old models. Matt has mentioned the hoppers being resculpted..

I just want to know what those two Light MI did to make the two Grizzlies fire on them like that! (Ah the perils of combining multiple images from different sources. Seriously though, I love this piece!)

@Proteus454: I don't believe they do in the book, but if I recall correctly the Exo suits in the RPG had the missile launchers built in to the top of the suit. So, like many things in combining a book, a movie and new material; it's a compromise.

The exos totally look out of place and their real size is not transported well. From the image they seem like half the size of the LAMI troopers in the front.

Woot! Woot!

Awsome! I wanna be able to draw like that!

Awsome pic, finally I get to see LAMI with PAMI and so on! Wow!

i hope you'r all happy now!?
you'v just forced me to paint those grizziles i'v been carefully avoiding the last month

on a serious note-the pic while lacking in some places(the exos lack some little detail) and with the perspective skewered, the overall result is quite nice, and a huge step forward from the current line. it lacks...dunno, focal point, te exos and lamis aren't "divided" enough, sorta fighting for attention of the viewer, but that's it

overall, as i said-a step in the right direction 8)

OK agree with they don't tranpose great with the grizzlies, (why the didn't they just draw a new one).
Oh Proteus454 the missiles do go on the shoulders.

Well, so everyone keeps telling me. But the army book said quite explicitly that the Atlas Rig with which the Grizzly is equipped has the weapons retract from the forearms to the shoulders when not in use. I had assumed that was the compromise that had been worked out, even if I didn't quite understand how they pulled it off in real-world-physics terms, looking at the model.

Ah well.

See, I just went with the "stick them where-ever you think they look the best" philosophy and threw real-world-physics out the window.
