SST Evo release schedule available!

so,it seems that the spotlight moves from the PAMI to the LAMI and Exos this edition.

I can live with that. I've been holding off getting into SST until Evo was released, and I used to be an Imperial Guard player in 40K, so I know how to use meat shei... err, I mean massed infantry  .

EDIT: I also like that the Exosuits are getting a higher profile now, seeing as they are the closest thing I've seen in the game to Heinlein's original Powered Armour. I also like the tactical implications of release schedule: A horde of lighter armoured soldiers supporting a spearhead of fast moving, heavily armed and armoured elites. It appeals to me more than a whole army of middle-of-the-road PAMI's. (But, as they say, there's no accounting for taste  ).

I'm dissappointed about PAMI not being released until September. That really kills my army plans. I guess LAMI have been selling really well lately.

Now on the other hand I don't mind the early release of Exosuits, though the schedoule has the only Cougar being an officer... and I really wanted to play a bunch of Cougars.

I guess I'll be sticking with BF:evo for a while.

Well, it could be that the PAMI aren't as well known as the LAMI and book-style Exosuits. Remember that the PAMI are from the children's show.

Also note that many of the MI players already have PAMI in their collection since for a while, they were the only armies available.

Prehaps the Cougars are now intended to be the "Officer" Suits mentioned in the books, with the Grizzly's the book's version of "Maruaders". I suppose that would make the PAMI's the "Scouts"...

...or I could just be reading too much into this  .

I really doubt this since the PAMI are slower than the Exos. A PAMI jumps 12" while the Exos jump 15". If anything, I suspect that any scouts would be equipped with Cougar suits.

Or maybe this is an opportunity for Mongoose to make up a third Exo-suit?

Actually, I'm kinda hoping they get away from the kid's show color scheme. That show's color design was really poor, but then again it was a kid's show so you can't blame them. Also rendering technology of the time wasn't that great so they didn't have too many options.

I'd like to see the exosuits, pami, and lami painted in more of a camouflage pattern instead of the single green that they are now.

Luckily, if the prepaits of the exos come in green, it shouldn't be too difficult to paint camouflage patterns on top of the green.

Nah, Turtle. Logic has nothing to do with government bureaucracies  . The olive drab paint that's been already purchased by the world's armies will be made to last for centuries  .

To be serious for a second or two (but only a second or two), the "digital camo" does look great, doesn't it?

*Curses so violentlnd wildly that the small child of innocence next door goes out and buys crack...*

I am excited.

Prepainted LAMI - I was painting mine recently and figured it would only take around a month or so to paint them all...

And I need 2 Skyhooks and 4 Vikings for my starship... (and 2TAC fighters) i may have to get a job soon 'cause no student loan and living on a miserable allowance...

Means no money for shiny plastic and metal armymen...
