SST Army Fluff

Here we go, a fluff thread, for posting about your armies background nad stuff. I have quite a bit written, so here goes my first:

My LAMI have the same colour as the canon scheme but brown instead of grey. Thus the name.

Wachowski’s Warthogs (Light Armour Mobile Infantry)

‘The Hardest Sons of Bitches in the Galaxy!’

Wachowski’s Warthogs were an invasion company created for Klendathu, and indeed were one of the first, veterans in part of Cap troopers platoons sent to test the equipment of the ‘new wave’ before it went into production. These Veterans were part of the Infamous platoon known as Bjorn’s Bears, who are now on the run from SICON. They are a story for a different report. Suffice to say they were accused but never proven of war crimes, and forever disgraced. After court hearings, they were shipped off to a mud ball in the far reaches of SICON territory, guarding a prison world in the worst equipment that was given to them. This shoddy equipment would be the beginning of the Invasion companies. In the year leading up to Klendathu, there were many prison riots, and indeed, there were so many that eventually it was war. Prisoners were executed, but the disgraced troopers earned recognition for their dedication to the cause, despite what they were speculated to have done.

When the brass from SICON came to investigate, they applauded the skill at which so few prison guards could hold back so many berserk conflicts. There were casualties on both sides, and after investigation, it was discovered that a recent prisoner transferred brought control bugs with him, infecting a few officers and convicts, which lead to the anarchy in the prison. The Guards were reinstated to the mobile infantry, for one they had earned respect once again, and also because the prison was a wreck. It was bombed from orbit and stricken from the records.

SICON leaders filed the type of equipment and worked on cost effective but subtle upgrades to the guard’s uniforms, and when Buenos Aires was hit, they put there plan into full swing to use such equipment in the newly formed invasion companies, as Capsule Troopers could not be trained so quick in war time.

The Guard of Prison World Delta-Celesti were brought in once again, this time to train the recruits as drill instructors in this equipment and in tactics they had learned over the previous year as a military unit outside of power suits.

During the war, the newly formed Warthogs were stationed protecting the flank of SICON territory, fighting off enemies and manning garrisons, as they were too useful to squander on Klendathu.
After the massive Klendathu failure, the Warthogs were given the task of being at the forefront of mopping up after the major victories of the Road to victory, spending weeks, even months cleansing planets of alien presence in their territories before moving on, digging into the leftovers of Cap and Exosuit troopers.

Dorian Wachowski was the leader of the prison guards, and was relatively young compared to the rest of his comrades who he knew back in Bjorn’s Bears. With his leadership, the unit became redeemed, and have earned the right to don power suits again, but refuse, as a reminder of what they had done, and indeed, to prove they were the hardest motherfuckers in the entire galaxy.

This is a cut down version of the fluff for my Skinnie Army -

Captain K'prol T'phon was first prime (I know thats a liberty with titles, but we don't really know enough about Skinnie ranks so there Lol) to T'Phai before he was recruited into the Roughnecks.

T'Phon never like Humans, he felt them 'too soft' in their approach when dealing with the Arachnid threat.

Utterly disgusted with T'Phai taking a lesser rank amongst the 'pink skins' T'Phon began his machinations for power . . . .

In just a few scant months T'Phon had amassed an Army. Now calling himself 'Lord Kabral' (Kabral being an ancient Skinnie word for Vengance) he scours the Galaxy for Arachnids to destroy and Pink Skins to humiliate of the field of battle . . . . . .

I assume that Kabral took some of Tphai's previous colony members. Also, what type of general are you using, or is this Kabral filling in for your tphai in your ambush army?

Kabral is now a (self declared) Skinnie Lord, so I am using the Lord Mini. In Gold Armour and Red Robes (Gold and Red being traditional colours for revenge amongst the Skinnies (Honest ;))!

Sounds like some sort of annoyed samurai master.

Anyhow more from me:

The Winter Guard (Pathfinders)

‘The Burdens hardest to bare’

The Winter Guard are a secret black ops unit of Pathfinders, unbeknownst even to their peers. Equipped with stat of the art equipment, and specialist tundra survival equipment, they are sent to spy on Skinnie Forces in the Odin Messiah system. They are few in numbers, and sometimes due to the nature of their operations, are forced to deal with small incursions of Arachnids, to protect those they spy on, to subtly influence, and even take out their own comrades from the shadows as ministers of death, acting in the greater good.

I've got a 40-man strong army of LAMI, the DODD's, the Do and Don't Dies, Led by Major William Dodd.

Usually seen in the woodland and forest theatre of operations, they have a reputation for putting the man before the mission, living by the old proverb, live to fight another day.

their painted in a british army like woodland scheme, except one reporter whose in a orange camo scheme as he wasn't sure which i wanted to go for, when i get a full platoon in wood i'm going for a full platoon of orange
