Spinward Marches Errata

Hehe...

Sensor Operator: Guys, I'm telling ya - done five sweeps - there's no gas giant here.

Astrogator: Look, right here, the chart specifically shows a gas giant... your readings must be wrong.

Sensor Operator: My readings are not wrong. I've even runs two level 3 diagnostics - its not there!

Computer Specialist: Yep, I confirmed that chart with numerous sources on the IWW, even the Imperium Wiki explicitly shows a gas gaint. Your equipment must be messed up.

  (and to the posts immediately below this one.

A whole new adventure opens up.

So the GG symbol in those two systems is not a typo, it is a plot hook!

You could almost imagine it...

"I know we didn't have time before we jumped, thanks to being chased out of the system by our Captain's ex-lover's family and all, but I'm just going to install this new patch for our database... the astronav computer's gonna be off for the next hour..."

*and hour and some later*

"Captain, you know the gas giant we were planning to refuel at? Erm... according the patch notes, it was a glitch in the last patch apparently..."

"Ah... and the local planets' hydrology level is...?"

"None... it's a barren rock."

"So we're gonna refuel where then??"

"Erm..."

Edit: Damn, I missed Zero's version... :(

This sounds like our game....
Hey... That's not a bad idea... thanks man :D

Anyone know where Mongoose is hiding the download links to the errata? The old site was klunky but at least it was navigable (and had a download link on the main page).

I've used the seach engine and found the book, but there's no errata link on its page.

(sigh) why do so many "upgrades" seem a step back?

Oh dear, first DFW with UFO conspiracies, now another poster on the 'evil' of banks, courts, money etc
This is a roleplay forum, so please take that rubbish elsewhere, it has nothing to do with traveller.

I think you will find one's degree of wealth is directly related to the amount one can enjoy Traveller or any other role playing game for that matter. Try buying books/miniatures, travelling to games, etc, when you have no money available.

If I can help just one person on here who is worried about debt (like I was until I visited that site) then that link has been more than worth the while. We all also live in the real world you know (well some of us do...).

You can get paid for your Traveller ideas/work/write ups if the're good enough.

When S&P was about Mongoose would pay you, however SJ Games will take submissions to JTAS online for any Traveller rule set.

So have an idea, write it up. Submit it to Loren, if accepted, get paid, buy more Traveller products, have more ideas, write them up, submit them to Loren, buy more Traveller products, have more ... you get the jist I'm sure.

Best regards,

Ewan
