Southampton class really a Raid level ship?

Hi there

After having a 5pt war level game last week, I wanted to run a Raid level game for our players, with the emphasis on a 'cruiser clash' (we have 9 with fleets at our club now).

Looking at what is available, I see that the japanese and german are well catered for, with vessels such as:
Mogami (5 turrets, sl sap torps),
Admiral Hipper (19 dam, 37" range, Torps)
P class cruiser (26 dam, 45" 3ad guns, torps),
but couldnt believe how underpowered the Southampton class seems.
(I have german and british fleets)

Is this really a raid level ship?
- 12 damage, 26" range tl, weak main armament, torps

Is there an up to date faq with all priority levels that I may have missed? (I have OOB)

The Southampton has been changed to PL Skirmish. I believe that the change is listed in OOB.

My copy of OOB shows it as Raid still ( as does my friend's pdf copy). - must be older versions.

I just checked my copy of OOB and it lists the Southampton as Raid. I had a hard drive crash so I can't check the list that we submitted to Mongoose. I know that it was intended to be reclassified as Skirmish and my local group plays it that way, but maybe Mongoose intended for it to stay Raid or maybe we didn't include that change in the final submission.

It does feel more like a skirmish level ship.
Will put it to the vote at our club before the next game, then its fair.
