Some rules questions

First - fast moving targets are described as moving greater than 7" in VaS. However, a reference is made to this modifier in OoB as "moving 7" or more". Which is correct? >7" or >/=7"?

Second, is there a limit to the number of points that can be "split" as per OoB? For instance, I can take 2 Aobas and three Kageros for two Raid points. Can I instead take two points each of 1 Aoba and 2 Kageros, for a total of 2 Aobas and 4 Kageros? It's kind of counterintuitive that splitting points would be beneficial, but it does not appear to have a limitation.

Third, are torpedoes allowed to travel 'under' ships? In other words, do intervening vessels block LOS for torpedoes like smoke?

I don't know. Go with the ruling in order of battle until you are told by somebody offical that its a typo. You could also check the FAQ.... if there is an OoB FAQ. Never checked myself.

Yeah, this seems like a very 'beardy' way of doing it. If its up in the air do what ever will seem fair. If there is a conflict roll a die to determine whose rule will be used.

Unfortunately I am pretty sure that its the second example though. Its the exact same way ACTA's worked.

This is another "do whats best for your group" scenerio. In my opinion I would say that the intervening ship doesn't block LoS, it counts as being attacked by the salvo. But thats just me.

I use 7 or more other wise alot of destroyers dont gain any benifit.
OoB supercedes the old rule

I have no problem with it I would do it in a game myself

Torpedoes cannot be fired through smoke and ships block Torps. They would hit the ship in line of fire.

Yup, its 7 or more, and ships block LOS for torpedoes

I have no opinion on the points issue :)
