Some rookie questions

So, just read through my book tonight and I have a few questions.

Let's say I roll a 4, 4 and a 6 to hit, do I do 2 points of damage to the shields and roll once on the damage table, or is it 3 points of damage to the shields and once on the damage table?

Do seeking weapons ignore shields, or is it that they simply can't penetrate them at all, prior to knocking them down?

With a multihit weapon, say a multihit 2, on a 4 or a 5, it would do 2 points to the shields, but on a 6 it would roll twice on the damage table, is that correct?

Thanks for any input in advance!

You do 2 points of Damage to the Shields and the 3rd point bypasses the shield and rolls on the Attack Table (Page 7).

Seeking Wepons that survive Defensive Fire Automatically hit the Target Shields. They do not Roll to hit so they will never beable to produce a Burn Thru on a roll of 6. If the Shields are down or so weak that the Drone causes more damage than remaning shield can absorb then the excess hits are rolled on the Attack Table.

Yes, you would roll twice on the Attack Table, so in theory you could do 2 Critical Hits with one Multihit 2 Weapon on a Burn Thru.
