So Wayfarer?

What is the story with Wayfarer RPG, originally slated for last December.

Any info out there?

After a name clash with another roleplaying game with a name too similar for comfort, Mongoose altered the title to Legend. The PDF of which you can buy for a US dollar online from DriveThruRPG or RPGNow.

Ooh Kay (and I own Legend) but that doesn't make much sense from the store front claiming:

Ah so Wayfarer being published by Mongoose is the original one from 2009. Gotcha.

There is also a Legend RPG too!

Was there going to be a different RPG by mongoose by the name of Wayfarer, which did not get released/branded as legend?

They weren't dead yesterday when I went to them!

Well I don't know why it has disappeared. I picked up the (original) PDF on RPGNow cos it is real cheap. Looks interesting.

And the Ye Olde Gaming Co site says that the revised edition is available for pre-order at mongoose

Which is that dead link. I thought it was still going to happen but maybe since the name change (of Mongoose Wayfarers to Mongoose Legend) the reprint is not going to happen?

From early this year.

So the single hardcover has gone dead and 3 books in softcover will be released.

Further down the thread:
"I just got word from Mongoose that the two rulebooks will be released in April, and The World of Twylos in May.

The new books will be up on their site shortly."

Hello all,

Sorry for the confusion. The newly revised Wayfarers books just went up on the site here yesterday. We are in the midst of updating the links on the YOGC site.

The short story is that Mongoose is releasing the revised Wayfarers, and they will be printing very soon.

No, Wayfarers isn't under the Flaming Cobra label. This is simply Mongoose releasing our game.
