So what do you think. Are the Shadows and the Vorlons just to powerful. Where they better in SFOS. Should MG man up and create new figs for the highter levels? Do you want to see them more balanced to the other races? Or do you believe they should just destroy all like its going out of style??? If so why??
 
The way i see it form watching every part of the show they should be able to beat the crap out of the other races in big ingagements in small ingagements the vorlons should have trouble the shadows I kind of always thought they where good at about all areas but only really stood out in big battles considering how many small skirmishis the shadows got into and beat up the ships using hit and run. The ISA crusade era minbari and I think leage should be the ones to be albe to hold there own against both anchients as they do in the series being that they have enough advanced tech to be able to survive but they still take heavy loses I mean watch the episodes where they have the big engagements yeah they win but most of the lfeet gets waxed. so the battles should not be the easiest. i do think the shadows have smaller varients of the shadow ships cause they use that model alot form what i understand about shadow firhters they kind of suck surprized for advanced ships they did not seem to suck in the series so much. I think the vorlons are pretty good maybe one or two huge ships planet killer and a dread. but shadows definately need either some new ship designs or varients to make them a little more playable to others.
 
As of Arm lists it would be nice to have some weaker variants of the larger hulls to field at lower levels. Why? Mainly to break up the fleet looks, give me a variety of types on the field at once. I know that the whitestars get put away in part cause they get boring to play all the time, same model over and over.

Shadows: SM ships with nasty beam weapons and hyperspace mastery means that they can pretty much choose their fights and do well in them. I think these guys do suffer at the lower PL's "correctly" because in the series they were always using overwhelming force against their targets ie shadow ships against Narn/League cruisers.

Vorlons: I think these guys are harder to play as they only have one arc to shoot with. Difficult to say if they are good enough as compared to the show but I think probably yes. I think with Vorlons you always need ships to cover one anothers backs.

What I would say is that both of the elders need some hull varients (at similar PL's) to create a bit more diversity (Vorlon Heavy Carrier anyone?)
 
SFoS wasnt quite right. They were playable but just not quite nasty enough to feel 'right' when compared to the show.

Armageddon, the Shadows to me feel about right though Id far prefer hunters to be swapped for shadow ships and have shadow ships as shadow dreadnoughts or some such.

Armageddon Vorlons are MUCH better than SFoS and very nasty. They DO feel like Vorlons should but they are in my oppinion just a little bit TOO tough, the fact that they dont suffer any degredation (or give any victory points) before they are completely destroyed makes it a bit too easy to do massive damage and then diesngage before actually losing a ship.
 
I like the Vorlons now, they bring back the fear factor that the old Accurate trait could give them. I think the shadows need to be played right to get their full effect, but both races are now to be more feared then most races, apart from the stupid boneheads!
 
Armageddon did many good things to the Shadows/Vorlons. If used right they will make anyone work hard to get the win. And the cost will be high. Which is as it should be. I think they have a good power level balance at the minute.

Though a couple of new variants at Raid/Battle would not go amiss either.
