Small vehicle range

Let's say I would like a 4- space vehicle. It has a cost of 4x where x is the cost per space and a range of r. But...

I could start with just 1 space. Taking three iterations of decreased fuel capacity leaves me with 0.25r and 3 bonus spaces. Investing in increased fuel efficiency (hybrids!) 12 times increases cost per space to 4x but grants+1.2r. Since we starred with 1 space we have a total cost of 4x but a range of 1.45r.

Thoughts?

The problem is?..... Meaning if that works in your game go for it, trying to explain in mine will take some work.

Thoughts? Not a big deal. You made a light, frail hybrid. Your "vehicle" has a hull of 3 and the one that started at 4 has a hull of 12. As long as you never crash or get into combat of any kind you are fine. In other words you traded hull points for that tiny range increase.

From my point of view, I would not allow you to receive the benefit on the cost without the negative to the hull. The trade is just not worth being able to say you gamed the process on spaces in my opinion.

Yeah, we spotted this one :) It causes a problem with the Grav Floater.

Try this;

A vehicle can have its Range decreased by 25%. Each time this is done, it gains 1 Space for every full 10 Spaces it started with. This may be done multiple times.
