SIZ Comparison.

Is there a chart somewhere that has information on what averages are in height/weight for each SIZ stat? I am working on some conversions of races from another game setting and it would be helpful to have something to compare what SIZ 15 means or SIZ 21 etc...

It might already be in the book and I am overlooking it.

I wondered about this, too. They seem to have left SIZ as abstract, perhaps so that it doesn't necessarily compute to Height/Weight. You can have a short character with a good SIZ who is sturdy and a tall one with a low SIZ and is easy to push around.

If SIZ always related to height and weight, the way the game mechanics work in RQ all short characters would be push overs and tall ones automatically tough.

If you want a rough guideline, BRP (d100 a cousin of RQ) rules have a SIZ chart . Unfortunately, it is not included in the free BRP quick start. The chart ranges from SIZ 1 (0-12 inches/030cm) up to SIZ 25 (96 inches / 240 cm). Human average, 10, was 64-66 inches/160-165cm.

I have the BRP core book. I need to check out its chart.

I know it should account for not just height and weight, but mass too.....but some kind of guide would be nice. If the BRP chart doesn't do it, I guess I will have to use the Monster book and the creatures in the core for comparison.

From the Brawn skill (page 36):

"As a mass equivalent, 1 point of SIZ equals, roughly, 5 kilograms."

I suppose that is the 'official' RQII stance, hope that helps.

I missed that. Thanks that might help factor things out a bit too.
