ship design pdf

gygax101, welcome to the site.

Please don't think that F33D represents the common participant here.

I assume you are not specifically looking for a pdf, but any flowcharts or templates to aid in ship design?

I believe there might be something at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/MGT-Aids/.

What ARE you insanely rambling on about now Cosmic?

The ship design system is not particularly mysterious, so if you have any mind at all for processes the chapter in the core rule book should be easy to follow.

The closest to templates would be the existing ship designs, as they all (when published by Mongoose, at least) list every included component with price and volume. "Tons" are a volume term here, used as a shorthand for "volume occupied by one metric ton of cryogenic hydrogen fuel". You will see some of us use "dton" to reduce the confusion.

No worries on the ship design (I have the core book), it was more I was looking for a "pretty but functional" template/form to list the ship stats, components, etc...

Traveller ship sheets are typically pretty businesslike, but I know a couple people with the same desire.

I'm off on a tangent here but if you want an alternative design system for your Traveller game, with an highly automated Excel based design system, design system rulebook as a pdf and an entire space combat system with everyrhing you could ask for and totally free you can download it from my blog. It is called Intercept and I have been working on it since 1986 or so (yeah, really).

No, it is not an implementation of the Mongoose system, it is my own take on space combat in general and Traveller in particular.

Just subtract 1 from your Mongoose skill levels to get the skill modifiers for Pilot, Gunner, Engineer, SensorOp etc. INtercept is also a good place to harvest ideas and house rules to the Mongoose system or your own homebrew one.

As if by magic. Kind of tempted to add a design sheet...
