I am thinking of converting one of my 1e ships over to 2e. But I am not clear what I need to do so. Clearly some things like Power is different, but should I just rebuild the ship in 2e?
Start from scratch; unless you're worried about readjusting the blueprints, all you have to is recalculate volume and costs, and see if you're over or under weight.
If over, time to start figuring out what you don't need, or if something can be shrunk.
In theory, the Corsair shouldn't have issues, since only twenty seven percent of the ship would be dedicated to jumping, and since the formula is borrowed from alphabet soup days, very little difference in tonnage.

For quick and dirty conversion you could do what I do:
1. Just calculate the hull points.
2. Keep the same armor values.
3. Convert each weapon to the new values.
4. Multiply the operational weeks by 2.
5. Keep the same jump and maneuver stats.
6. Assume there is just enough power for all systems except when making a jump, or with jump if military.
7. Keep the same deck plans. (Doesn't effect combat, only boarding actions.)
You can do all the other calculations and redraw the deckplans later if desired.
