Shield Question

Which RQII shield do you think best represents a large oval or rectangular Roman scutum, or one of the large oval shields celts used?

There is no one like it. Maybe creat one of your own?
The one most look alike? I guess the kite or hoplite, but
they really dont look like the roman shield. Kite looks like
an inverted teardrop and the hoplite is a large round shield.

/K :)

I would go with kite shield, as both the kite and the scutum are designed for formation fighting in a shield wall or the roman pendant.

The only difference I can see in the two shields is that the roman scutum is curved to better deflect incoming attacks, as most ancient weapons are rather light. The kite shield is instead flat and thicker, to better soak up damage from heavy medieval-age weapons.
