And how does a Shaman create his own spirits?

What about shamans in a clan of Orlanthi, is this okay?
Could an Adventure be both an Orlanthi and a shaman?

The Orlanthi shamans worship Kolat, who specialize in air spirits, unsurprisingly. There's a good and easily convertible Heroquest description in the Sartar Companion from Moon Design.

Indeed there is. That'll teach me for looking in the index of the wrong book.

Loz's write-up, which I'd never read before, is very close to the Sartar Companion write-up. The Companion does give some extra traditions and spirits, but you shouldn't need those to begin with.
