SF Special Actions - Critical Hits - traits

Need clarification on what this means exactly.

"If a ship is restricted from performing Special Actions (such as from some critical hits), then it will also immediately lose any Special Action it is currently performing, losing all benefits in the process."

Going through all the special actions listed, criticals to Impulse Drive, Dilithium Chamber, or being crippled are the only restrictions for performing some special actions.

"If a ship is restricted from performing Special Actions, then it will also immediately lose any special action it is currently performing"

Does this mean, a ship performing any special action, or getting a benefit from a special action, that takes a critical hit to impulse or dilithium chamber, will lose the benefit of that special action, no matter what it is?

Or does the critical hit have to be a specific restriction to the special action being used?

Also for traits, if your ship loses 1 random trait for a critical hit, say your ship has 6 labs, and labs is the random trait being rolled for, does it lose all 6 labs, or go down to 5 labs?

That rule's referring to situations such as taking crew critical 4+ after the ship has moved, which would mean it'd have to drop any sustained Special Action such as IDF or CBD. The conditions listed in the Special Actions descriptions only apply to those actions and often prevent you from attempting it in the first place.

Traits aren't lost a point at a time, you lose the whole system.

The wording certainly could be less confusing as to what the heck it means exactly.

Thanks for helping me out.
