Seriously, who designed these?

Mongoose
Well okay maybe the thread title sounds a little aggresive, thats cause I'm not in a good mood right now...

I just stated working on my Exosuit army.

I'm in the earliest stage of posing my models.

And I'm asking, serious, and calm:

how are those sixguns supposed to fit on a cougar?
their far too big, don't fit the arm (3 milimeter gab)
and even if they do, they look like...well...glued on, but not like a weapon one would wield with that kind of suit.

So any tips how to get a sixgun onto a cougar without it looking goofy, or any ideas how to model a new gun onto the suit, other than the original mongoose sixgun (which looks cool on the grizzly btw)?

(I'm currently trying to make the gun smaller, cuttin it off to nearly firestorm size, but its neither statisfactory, nor easy work...)

Could You perhaps post any pics of the problem? Had nothing similar neither on Cougars nor on Grizzlies.

He is right, the sixguns look far to bulky at a Cougar, espacially when mounted at the arm (that's why I mounted mine on teh shoulders, though they still look somehow oversized there).

I'm trying to get a good picture of what I mean right now, but my camera sucks and its hard to photograph as I have to hold the gun and the arm together...

But I'll go on trying

edit:
I think I've got some particularly bad models too
one of my cougars acutally has a hole in one knee, and many of the sixguns look like they've melted *_*

Here is a closeup of one of my pics that I took for the article on Exosuits. I'm not just making a joke out of the way that I used magnets to mount my weapons by saying that I thought of the Exosuit weapons as magnetically-mounted or locked onto the suit and not held as such.

A regular infantryman would not be able to hold such a large "hand-held" weapon without mechanical augmentation (i.e. an Exosuit). That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Now you know that it takes an Atlas Rig to do that and only the Grizzly has that feature, so I demand that you repose those weapons immediately! Just kidding of course.

yeah the thought of magnetism came to me too, but something in me would prefer a more streamlined version...

As I said I like how they look on the grizzlys, makes them look even more like badass miniature tanks, though I'll probably close the top of the guns.

I'm thinking about mounting a smaller gun under each arm instead of one big. Like the marauder derringer for example, somehow making it look integrated into the gigantic wrist protector of the cougar.

OK, but keep in mind that the Cougar doesn't carry but one weapon. The Grizzly can carry 2 because of the Atlas Rig (see my kidding remark above). I see no problem in either cutting down the existing sixgun or mounting of a different and smaller version on the Cougar model. As for me, I'm happy with the models as-is. For me, the suit's augmentation feature is what I'm hanging my suspension-of-disbelief upon. Oh, and I wasn't saying that you should do the magnet mod as such. I was showing the pic as how I matched the gun to the arm. It seems to work for me at least. :)

No, you just need the Atlas Rig to fire both at the same time ;)

Well, as long as you are "playing by the rules" they must then use the same ammo belt if they run out of ammo, heh. I mean, it's only fair.
