Oh, ye gads, me too. I've got my pre-order in and I can't wait. I was going to run an Old World border princes game with WFRP but... I'd much rather run it with RuneQuest II.

So... hurry up. Please? :)

I saw that movement has ben increased. Maybe due to a minor number of actions each assault.
Casting time has disappeared for spells. Like RQ3...
Good changes. I want to have the book on my hands! :D

Casting time is still in there, but handled differently for each type of magic. Movement rates have been increased because the old value simply wasn't realistic.

If the page numbers are any indication it looks like there is a good number of spells in the book.

Fixed casting time? or depend spells of magnitude?

So now I suppose that now you do not double your movement rate while sprinting. 16 metres/second would be impossible. How has the rule changed?

This runequest looks very good.

I am continually disappointed that Mongoose would choose to use gratuitous babe art to illustrate what otherwise seems like a perfectly respectable product.

As Loz said, it depends on the type of magic. For Common Magic its based on magnitude, for Sorcery on the number of manipulations, for Divine its usually fixed and for Spirit Magic it depends on what you are trying to do with the spirit.

Generally though, magic is quicker and simpler to cast.

The magic section covers from p100 to p145. Revised versions of most of the original spells are there, but some of the more useful/interesting ones from other books have also been included as a bonus. As a nice Christmas Present for you all, Sever Spirit is back in the core rules...

We hope so! :D

Whats about the sprint and charge actions? Is 8m a fixed movement rate, adding more when charging, or something like that?

Thank you for your fast answers. You mitigate our anguish while we are waiting for the book! :)

Shouldn't the Babel Spell be called Babble? Babel seems a bit biblical...

Also put me down for not liking the cheesecake (as I was looking through I first thought people meant the woman leaping through the arrows, until I paged on a bit...). It's not even good cheesecake!

The babe on p75 is OK. The one on p132 makes me feel like I'm looking at a still from a Mötley Crüe video

8m per round is a reasonably fast walk. For sprinting you multiply by 5, giving you a movement rate of 8m per second, which is about average for a fit and healthy human.

Actually, I should be teasing you more - but its Christmas, so I'm being nice!

And I am perfectly happy for that kind of illustrations, too. Note, that not all pictures are like that or even same caliber of nudity as in Conan RPG.

Besides what's wrong with that kind of art? I am sure everyone has seen a naked body in real life, so what's the big deal? :P

It's immoral, and it'll make you go blind.

Maybe do you want something like this... As in the old times.

Do you remember Uleria? Nice Goddess

I think it is only a picture, a beatiful picture.
