The Lost Isles 2 - Dryhaven

Sceaptune Games are pleased to announce the PDF release of the second in our series of RuneQuest Singleton Scenarios: The Lost Isles 2 - Dryhaven.

Once again, it's a scenario/sourcebook that can be reused time and again after the scenario's been run through, and all the resources can readily be applied to your own campaign worlds. Use it as a standalone mini-campaign or as the second part of a complete campaign thread for the RuneQuest Roleplaying Game.

From the back cover -

"After your success at the Stormhaven Dragonmeet, you are asked by the First Councillor of Firsthaven to complete a seemingly simple task. You must find the location of the long-lost city of Dryhaven - if it ever existed.

It seems a simple task, but your search takes you first to a ruined library, then to a fearsome Haventown, and finally deep into the swamps of the Guardian’s lairs. As your problems mount and your foes become more dangerous and subtle than you could imagine, you begin to wonder the wisdom of your quest.

The reusable resources include a maps, town background, plans, new cults, creatures, traits and spells... all of which can be readily and easily used in your own campaigns.

Singleton Scenarios are designed for one or two players plus a Games Master: just perfect when short of players or looking for a more challenging game. A flexible approach means that even larger groups will also find the scenarios demanding and fascinating."

Details can be seen on our web site.

The Lost Isles 2 - Dryhaven, PDF Order #SGSS902 is out now and available from Your Games Now! and (very soon) DriveThruRPG

Details of our other RuneQuest releases can be found on our product page.

Dare you search for the lost city of Dryhaven?

Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

How easy is to fit this campaign in Glorantha?

And if it is possible, where would you place it?

I'm thinking of buying the books, this and the previous one but I want to play in Glorantha so it would be nice if it was possible to fit it there without messing it too much.

Thanks,

J

Is there a 'better' site to buy from? As in does one PDF site have better terms for the publisher than others?

I know Phil at Ronin Arts had issues with Drivethrough/RpgNow and their terms after the merger, and stopped using them.

Thanks.

Your Games Now is a co-operative, owned by all the games sellers on the site. Drive Thru/rpgnow (as well as being the site EnWorld passes things through) is probably the most well known. Some developers have gone completely YGN, but if someone sells something on RPGnow/DTRPG it's unlikely their products will be a better price elsewhere.

As a result, I think it's up to the individual gamers to decide where to buy from - where you'd prefer. I'm not sure it would be appropriate for me to voice my opinion.

As for Glorantha, the Lost Isles were specifically meant to be a remote archipelago far out in a great ocean (without giving anything away) so the campaign could be fitted in anywhere. The characters begin as Exiles, so know nothing about the region anyway (Lore(local region) is not much use!). There are plenty of oceans around Glorantha/Genertela/Palmatela* in which a Lost Isles campaign can be set, so its a case of picking a preferred ocean coast from which you wish your characters to come. There are cults and a cosmology provided in the scenario/sourcebooks, but that doesn't prevent anyone using the core Gloranthan cults and cosmology.

Even more good news if you're considering buying both is that, with the release of Dryhaven on PDF, the price of Exile on PDF has also been put on offer, too. :D
