Sargasso Hex's

For those of us that actually know the adventure, it's funny to see how people here are 'solving' the issue. This adventure so needs to be run!

Surprise!

What could be worse than a Sargasso Hex?

A Sargasso Hex where, 3.26 years after some poor ship comes in to the hex, someone in an adjacent hex picks up their faint dying radio message.

And it mentions a dead, cold planet floating between the stars.

And a dead city.

And scraping on the hull.

And what looks like continent-size motion across the planet's surface.

And finally screams ...

Actually, I just thought of something even worse.

The signal reports finding all the other ships that arrived in the hex, sort of drifting in a cluster a few hundred thousand kilometres off the starboard bow.

They board one of the alien ships.

And then they find this little fellow.

Not. I KNOW what the adventure is. Wouldn't even bother with playing for my group as they would beat it based on the simple precautions they'd take.

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen

In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is

Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in

Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead,
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in

Lost Carcosa.

Or maybe the "phantom zone" like superman!

I was in a game "Space Opera" where there was this zone of dead space that collected several hundred ships, where we had to use chemical rocket engines to recover them to a distance where we can grapple them, refuel and escape with our "prize" to a port to sell the "reconditioned" ships on the market, after re-identifying them of course.

I was just looking for adventures already written that had a spaceship graveyard theme to them as well, since space vast and ever-elusive.
