Runequest Wild West Preview

Welcome to Runequest: Wild West, where the historic Old West comes to life. This book brings to you a wealth of information, everything you need to know to be able to run or play in the Western setting using the Runequest system. Shotguns and six shooters, cowboys and Indians, outlaws and lawmen, from devilishly clever plots to bar brawls, from fiendish antagonists to romantic interests – this book has it all. Inside these pages you will find a host of new Skills, weapons, equipment, setting rules and more. Runequest: Wild West is designed to be a cinematic take on the Old West, with the kind of action present that you would find in your favourite western movies. Characters can perform heroic, sometimes unbelievable, acts of courage and daring. So without further a due, step forth into the grim and gritty world of the Western Frontier.....

A characters Profession defines his expertise in a variety of skills and reflects the way he makes a living in the Wild West, or what way he made a living up until becoming an adventurer on the Frontier. It also reflects to some extent his family background etc. Many adventurers continue with their profession, but as the adventuring and pioneering life takes over he will inevitable learn new skills and perhaps pursue a new way of life shaped by the circumstances of their adventures.

New Professions!

Each Profession has a certain number of Basic and Advanced skills, plus their bonuses, listed. If a Profession has no entry for Advanced skills, then none are available for that Profession. The available Professions are:

• Bounty Hunter ● Gunslinger ● Rustler
• Brave ● Hunter ● Scout
• Cowboy ● Lawman ● Settler
• Desperado ● Maverick ● Soldier
• Greenhorn ● Mountain Man

One (Free) way of doing it is to download a copy of Open Office. This will read Word Documents and will Save Documents as PDF Files.

or download a copy of DoPDF (http://www.dopdf.com/) which is free and allows you to "print" to PDF from any application...

Thanks for the reply guys. Im in the process of converting the document now. I will post it on the MRQ wiki this morning and will post the link as soon as possible. Thanks, Trig

The files has been uploaded. Have a look and see what you think. Any feedback and comments are welcome. Thanks, Trig
