In "Different Worlds" (a RPG magazine published by Chaosium Inc. way back...) Issue No. 24 - the Mostali Special - Greg Stafford had an article called "Why i dislike Mostali".
So the answer may be "Yes, nobody likes Mostali, even the creator of Gloranthan dwarfs dislikes them."
To be serious:
I think Mostali are great fun, but they are best treated bloody serious in a Paranoia kind of way.
They are unwilling to accept change.
They are unwilling to share their knowledge and inventions.
They eat their food out of cans.
They don´t belive that there a two genders of Mostali.
I like to use them as encounters... very very rarely... but WHEN they are encoutered they are almost as strange as Aldryami or even Dragonewts.
Another loud cheer for Mostali.
I have wondered if the antipathy felt in some (high) quarters to the Dwaven race was behind a lack of publication, but it appears that my worries were unfounded. Oh blast - where do I get the money and what excuse can I use this time?
