Rune Spell: Undead Bane

Denalor

Mongoose
A new character was created (a seasoned one) and when determining the possible runes he rolled the Undead rune. I though, well you can just forget that rune.
But then the player opted to be a lay member of Humakt, thus gaining access to the cult spell Undead Bane.
Suddenly the integration of the Undead rune sounded very attractive indeed.
But when it came down to check the possible effects of the magnitude we were both confused.
Why is this spell progressive ?
There's no indication what the effect of different magnitudes for this spell actually does.
Any ideas ?

Seems you've got a couple of options. In the first place you might accept that the spell description is wrong and it doesn't have the Progressive trait. If you do the spell is incredibly powerful. For 1 MP the caster gains a shield of invulnerability against undead - and it could be 1000 of them - think "Dawn of the Dead" to realise how useful this would be. Also, if you chose to overcharge by 2 or 3 MP then the undead would suffer a serious penalty to their chance to resist.

The second option is that the spell only affects one Undead creature for each point of magntiude. This is still powerful but a little less unbalanced.
