The King

Cosmic Mongoose
This book is scheduled for July (this month), so could we have some hints about it, like how many page, some preview, etc?

We get now some information and the cover:

Amazon teaser:
From the Red Ruin of Tanewal to the ghostly port canals of Narilor, Glorantha is dotted with countless remnants of the Great Darkness and the Ages before. These places were the footfalls of gods and heroes, locations where local legends were born and myths were shaped. In time some of these wonderful events will fade into obscurity, but their echoes will be felt in the ruins they left behind. Ruins of Glorantha is a closer look at several different locations of some import in the vast lands of this wondrous and unique world. This book explains what can be found or accomplished there, who might call these places home, and the sorts of quests and adventures Games Masters can create using them. When combined with a step-by-step method in which readers can create their own important ruins, Ruins of Glorantha is a detailed and useful tool to create short exciting scenarios or long lasting campaigns in the wilds of Glorantha

Mongoose teaser:
Have your players just taken a wrong turn, and caught you off balance? Are they miles away from your adventure, forcing you on the back foot? Never fear, Ruins of Glorantha is the perfect companion for every over-worked Games Master! With a multitude of encounters and locales fully detailed, Ruins of Glorantha allows you to funnel your players into interesting and unusual scenarios that will take a session or two to resolve. Explore some of the strangest and most challenging locations in Glorantha!

It's a small book though with only 104 pages.

I wonder if it's written following the model of Ruins of Hyboria, with some ruins detailled plus a chapter usable as a toolbox to create one's own ruins and forgotten cities.

The page count has not yet been set on this book.

And yes, it is exactly like Ruins of Hyboria!

Then I hope it will be as hefty as its predecessor for Conan. :D

May I suggest the details of some ruins that we find in Prax: Sog's ruins and Monkey ruins. That would be great. 8)

Second Age Sog City would be a working port owned by the Godlearners, at a guess.

Feroda would be a recent ruin, Monkey Ruins would be pre-Dawn.

Whitewall would be ruined, perhaps, as would some of the Sun Dome temples, maybe.

It will be interesting to see which places are ruined in the Second Age as a lot of the Third Age ruins are OK in the Second Age.

Such a book can only be good as it brings information on the past and enables us to play such adventures as Balastor barracks.

As my campaign gets into real gear the need for an 'Oh dear - they've wandered off the story arc' set of impromptu adventures is becoming urgent. I've already used a lot of the MRQ published mini-scenarios and will welcome 'Ruins' when it appears, as it looks like this will fit the bill.
It is still scheduled for September in the main upcoming releases, but do we have any refinement on that date? Is it early/late ...help!

It just needs layout and final checks but, realistically, late in the month for the UK.
