And there is no security on the pdf file! I can add and delete, houseruling it as I go! This will be very nice for my 3rd Age group.
PDF security is a joke anyway, if there is no password to open the document (or you know the pw) you can just switch off the password to edit the document. So anyone who can view a pdf can edit it, too.

Okay, but using passwords for security settings is quite common isn't it? All rpg I've downloaded from rpgdrivethrough have had som password-lock on the editing function.

It's common, but the security settings are useless. You can remove the password in a second with some programs. You can use 128-bit encryption and a 20 character password, but that doesn't matter. The programs ignore passwords and encryption and they save the pdf without the security. It's really sad how useless pdf-"security" is.

Well, they aren't designed to be ultra secure. Just a hinderance. It's a legal technicality really. It forces someone to actually go out of their way to edit the document itself, meaning that they can't claim they did it accidentally if called for some violation of license.

But if you need special programs to unlock it, that's pretty much hindering most of us from doing anything.
