RQ Spellbook

Hi Derina,

Ian tells me that you have been enquiring about Spellbook. Good news on this front, our lovely print manager Ed is just making me a final complete copy now to run my last checks on. I have been joking with Bryan that this book shall go down in Mongoose history as the book that never wanted to be published!

Spellbook has been no end of problems, especially as it crashed my computer and I lost two weeks of workon it and my other projects! But it is finally ready and I hope it will live up to expectations. I think that Matthew is intending it to be officially on sale next week along with Elric Bright Shadows.

Now please remember that Spellbook is my first project for Mongoose so I hope you guys will all be going a little easy on me!

Sorry for the massive delay ....it was determined and put up one hell of a fight but I've finally defeated it!

Regards

Charlie

Yes, we had that conversation :)

INcidentally, I have a preview of this book now, but it needs just one tweak - you'll see it on Monday!

Dear Matthew:
I payed the spellbook preorder when it was 35$, later you changed the price to 30$ and you returned me 5$ (obviously), but now, AGAIN, you have returned to the first price -35$-.
What should I do now?

EDITED:
I have received an email. You are fastest! :) I should told you that the treatment has been very good. Thank you very much.

Which Monday?

Cute.

I have the preview, and it is sitting on my PC, ready for upload.

However, I currently have had three staff members off work due to illness, and another two off for holidays. To compensate, I have been working in the printing facility to ensure the Spellbook actually ships next week and does not slip.

Preview or actual book? Your choice.

Shouldn't you be busy printing books rather than surfing the net then? :D

I have half a mind to tell your boss...

I swear, I am sitting here, mouse in one hand, folding endpapers with the other - true multitasking :)

I don't know that is kinda of a hard decision, I mean being in the states it's not like I won't get it a bit latter than any one on that side of the pond.

Just kidding, I am waiting for this book, ship soon.

Actually, we are fighting to get the book shipped to the States at the same time as Europe. . .

Preview's up! Looks like it is a few pages from the Rune Magic section, but it shows both of the new types of spells the book gives Rune Touched. See if you can figure which ones!

Also, I LOVE the art for Worm in the Apple. :)

All you would need is an open finger to touch, or perhaps your closed fist's knuckles. Also, there are some interesting ways of keeping a rune in one's hand and still having use of one's fingers.

If your rune was a small stone, say the size of a coin or so, you could bind it under your ring and pinky finger while still having your other two fingers and thumb to touch your enemies...

It just takes a little invention on the runecaster's behalf, that's all. :)
