RQ Adventures - where is the book?

If Mongoose don't write this book (which it doesn't seem like, and I really can't blame them with the current state of things), I will probably start this book as a contributor project this summer (because I am not nearly enough into RQ2 to write this all by myself, especially since I know nothing of Glorantha). Then we can atleast have a free PDF DM's Guide, (or Mongoose can sell it online - I don't mind).
Why not use the wiki? That's what it is for.

Perhaps... I prefer having stuff collected in a pdf, I can have on my computer. But the content can easily be added to the wiki as well.

I think the wiki is a good place to collect the material, which can then be formatted into a nice PDF.

This +1.

Many of the topics that come up on this forum would work well in a GM’s Guide: How to put together a grimoire, how to create new monsters, how much is useful when statting up NPCs, creating cults, etc. etc. This would be great in published book format because it will be available to everyone in one place and will have the official stamp of approval from the game developers. The wiki can’t really do that. Combing the fora to find an answer isn’t efficient and I assume (hope) there are thousands of players of RQ who don’t use this forum.

Also one of the reason I am hesitant to use the wiki to collect the sections. I hope some of the strong writers on this forum will back-up the project, and that we can then make Mongoose distribute it - either through a pdf on drivethrough, or in a book if they believe it economically viable (I don't need payment for it). Both so it gets the stamp of approval, and so it reaches a larger player base.. hopefully to the benefit of the system.

Any chance the adventures can be used in S&P perhaps?
The book is a compilation of adventured from S&P, so they're all already available, but many of them will be written for MRQ1.

Ah, so it's pretty much a "best of" then? Well I can see the reasoning for that. It worked well in 1st edition d&d. Those 'best of dragon' sold and were crazy popular for a long time. I know people who still brag they have copies of them.

Ugh....damn. Why do I have this horrible feeling that RQII is on the way out already....and it just got here! No Blood Magic, no Monster Island, no RQ Adventures....and on the list remains one setting book that (while admittedly looking cool) is in all likelihood not going to be very useful to me.

Starting to feel like a bad time for RPGs, or at least the ones that I like the most.

Yeah, that was what I was looking forward to: adapted versions of these modules, printed and accessible and ready to go.

Something tells me the ebook market is starting to really dig its nails in to the RPG industry and draw blood.

I cheated and cut the adventures out of the various S&Ps using a PDF editor and repasted together.

Hopefully that does not infringe copyright!

To be honest, mrq1 stats etc are not that different and easy to use.

By the time you grab all those, the ones from paves, the glorantha live scenarios, I actually have quite a collection of pre written adventures...

I thought Monster Island was back on schedule? Haven't heard anything about Blood Magic being canceled, have I missed something?
