If you free a stateroom you can make a little money on the side with passengers (or for special very well paid discrete insertion missions). If you have a solo pilot then they can have a whole stateroom to themselves rather than share. For long duration trips, that might make it a bit more bearable.

Actually I'd recommend a single 8dton upgraded cabin and a two 4dton standard cabins.
