Here is my first map of the Oasis, Sector 2, also called "NASA's Solar System Orrery" NASA bought the right to develop this sector, to create a virtual reality simulation of the Solar System. This sector consists of a single region where both magic and technology work. the Earth is presented in its natural state, without cities, roads or buildings. The ecliptic is all located 5 light hours from the top of each subsector, at about the halfway point from top to bottom of the entire sector. Above and below that are comets and asteroids, not much of anything.
There are 27 cubic sectors in total. Each sector is 10 light hours across, which is the approximate diameter of our Solar System, if you count Neptune as the outermost planet. The overall shape of the Oasis is a Cube 3 sectors on a side or 30 light hours on an edge. The unit of currency of Oasis is the credit, which for the purpose of this setting I would set equal to the Traveller credit Each sector can hold 1000 worlds, a subsector is large enough to hold the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars plus the inner half of the asteroid belt. So if we have a Sector dedicated to the Traveller RPG, then it could hold 1000 Traveller mainworlds, if we want nearest gas giant refueling, then 8 subsectors can hold a system which goes out to the nearest gas giant in most cases. We usually aren't interested in the outer systems, just in the mainworld and the nearest source of fuel for the starship. If we use 8 subsectors for each mainworld to include the gas giant, then we can have 125 mainworlds per sector. So maybe I'll have a sector dedicated to the Solomani Rim perhaps, and relocate mainworld to conform with the 2300 near star map. The main difference is that these worlds would be 2 light hours apart, one can use a maneuver drive to travel from one to another, The Jump Drive will get you instantaneously to light speed, in other words you would travel 1 light hour per hour. This is a little bit different from the Traveller setting, but this is actually the Oasis from Ready Player One simulating the Traveller setting in one of its sectors. Another sector will be a Star Wars setting, and in there, we tray to pack in all the Star Wars planets from the movies or novels or at least as many as will fit in there. Another sector will have the Star Trek Universe, with a bunch of Star Trek planets including the Federation the Klingon and Romulan Empires and so forth. Traveller starships can travel to the Star Wars Sector and Star Wars starships can travel to the Traveller sector and to other places. There is also a few Dungeons & Dragons Sectors, travel through those is accomplished through Spelljamming.
