Rapid Fire

That sounds like an interesting way to do it! Not sure what's a suitable effect threshold for extra shots in Traveller, perhaps 2, perhaps higher? How could this be adapted for current Traveller rules in the best way... ? If an attacker reaches the +2 effect they are given the option of another attack or an additional hit, something like that...

For an autofiring weapon it's easy to just say that additional bullets hit the target well enough to cause an extra hit's worth of damage, but what about single shot? Make an additional (separate) damage roll, but count the extra hit as a reaction, with penalties the following round due to this? Or offer the firer an extra attack at -2DM?
