Do Raiders Speeder Bikes and Heavy Speeder Bikes count as Raiders Units?

The word Unit is used in the description of each, implying that they are Raiders Units - just mounted.

Doesn't it say in the rules for the Speeder and Heavy Speeder that their numbers are limited by the number of raider units in the force...

I would read this as saying that the speeders are not regarded as raider units. Otherwise it would be more than a bit counter intuitive as you could say that having 1 Raider unit and 1 Speeder counts as the 2 raider units that you need to field the speeder bike..... Which is just damn messy and only works in rules laywer speak.

IIRC the army lists for the leaders list foot Raiders and the Hoverbikes seperate.

NOT always, the limitation is dependant on the leader of your Force.

In the case of a Skinnie General, Raiders Speeder Bike and Heavy Speeder
Total may not outnumber Raiders units.

Cabal can't have them.

T'Phai can have any number etc.

BUT according to the Great Eagle of the Stars (Matt) - no they don't Lol!

Sorry I ain't got the army book here so can't check it, but remembered it was something like this....

How could it ever be possible to have more speeders than "raider units" if they counted as units themselves...... Obviously they ain't "raider units".
