Raider Force

I'm putting together a 5 point Raid Raider fleet! :D
4 Battlewagons and 2 Carrier, i just have to buy all the fighters now. 8)
 
5 dreadnoughts 10 battlewagons :) or you can go with 4 dreadnoughts, 8 battlewagons and a point of league allies.
 
It's highly unlikely such a force would turn up in one place; but hey - why not?

You have a very good ship in the battlewagon......with 6+ armour and interceptors it takes a kicking to bring one down, and it pack a wallop for a raid class ship - everyone always forgets the 10AD forward gun batteries.

The ability to empty a shedload of delta-V's will allow you to cope with fighter swarms quite well, too.

Raider Novas are good, but it's questionable if they're worth 2 Battlewagons (bloody second-hand combat lasers not being precise). A couple are probably good ideas, to ward the flanks, though, and you get them as free upgrades with clever points splitting

The strike carrier is an ok ship but NOT at war priority; hull 4 means that its decent number of hit points - only just short of the battlewagon - won't help, as it'll be being hammered by laser fire and shredded. If taking massed ships you don't reall need initative sinks...

The modified freighter is a pile of junk at any priority level. If all those pulse cannons were in a single arc, then it would be threatening. As it is - no. And with only 12 hit points it's just target practice for secondary guns.

Delta-V2 or Double-V upgrades are not a bad idea; with fleet carriers floating around a few V2's sprinkled in your fleet can help keep dogfights controllable, and double-vs can actually hurt a capship.

whoa we dont mess around do we now - ok so im thinking some vree or Abbai ships (up to battle level) and some battle wagons also a dreadnaught (or two) would help too i suppose. Any suggestions what to use for all the battlewagons?
 
I was going to use the space liner, as the rest of the civi ships just don't look right. May be due to the pick in Arma.

Can you order gun turrents seperately? if so, what ship are they form (to save me having to check everything on the store site) :lol:
