I voted for the wolf/dog boys. Hey, I liked the GURPS Books, a pair of Major Races sells the book, minor races become a bargin thrown in.

Myself, I'd like to see each Major Race, Zhodoni, Solimani, Vilani, Aslan, Hiver, K'kree, Vargr, and Droyne, get a book with important to that race/group minor races in the book.

Example: The Vegans would be in the Solimani book. The Vulcan-ish Elves of the Spiward Marchs (Deltans?) would be in the Vilani book. ect ect.

The Sword Worlds and other pocket Empires would need their own books too.

I had to vote for Vargr as I think they are the most playabel and usable int he games. That said, one book on all the alien (i.e. not just human sub-species) races would be a good move.

The world needs more books on Hivers too, I feel.

Who asked you, starfish? Get back in your hole!

Hey, Hivers are peop... well, ok, Hivers aren't exactly "people"...

They are extremely manipulative and often go by names like"Bob", so they're kind of like people. Actually, come to think of it, they're exactly like my nephew, Bob.

Except for the whole starfish thing.

Hivers ... starfish ...

Well, if only they were aquatic, I could use them perfectly well in my set-
ting, people or not, manipulative and mopping or not.

But manipulative starfish-like mopping landlubbers with names like Blob
on my water world - sorry, no, not really.

Now. Since we weren't given the option to vote for all of them, I voted Vargr.

Do all please, and in a method close to Aramis's!

Sorry about that - the survey question was supposed to read "What OTU (non-human) race would you like to see first in a dedicated Mongoose Traveller supplement?"

I always assumed that they'd all be covered eventually, and those of us who are "compleatists" could not but purchase each one of them (and - let's face it - probably within a week of them hitting the shelves).

Well, please understand that forcefulness on my part stems from a desire to see all of these in print.

To answer the question as you've just rephrased it, I suggest starting with Vargr, throwing some other species around them in that book (such as the Hlanassi and Drakarans), and then moving on to the next species, i.e. doing Aslan next, with a few minor species in the same book.

I also vote for 1 major and several minor races in their space.
I think this is a great idea. The book cover one of the Major Races and a few of the minor races. This way we get to see more about the minor races that would not warent their own book.

Good Idea!

By extension, the Solis reason that they are the only race fit to rule Charted Space. It's a bit more involved than that but essentially that's where the Solis idea of their supremacy comes from.

A case of "The Original, and still the Best".
this make my "robbed of their destiny" factor even greater strength - they were supposed to be the first (and only) Humans to conquer the stars, if not for these meddlesome aliens seeding genemodded humans all around Known Space...

Don't forget that TWO major races, and the rulers of THREE major interstellar Empires (and many smaller ones) all came from ONE planet.

Terra is special, Terra is unique, Terrans are destined to rule the galaxy (it's MANifest Destiny!).

You fool. You're using a trick of the old English language to justify what's obviously untrue. If you were so powerful, special, unique and destined to rule the universe you'd have kept Terra! :P

HUMANS kept Terra.

Vilani are humans (barely), Zhodani are Humans (also barely), even Darians are Human (almost). Vargr are Terrans. Between Humans and Vargr (all Terrans), we contol most of Charted Space!

Get over it, we are the destined rulers of the galaxy (just don't ask about a time frame).

As a dedicated member of the Church of the Chosen Ones, I say it's time for us to take Terra from the flat-faces and let it be inhabited only by the One True Race!!! LONG LIVE THE VARGR!!!

Just for those that don't know yet, there are limited rules for playing major races in the Core Rules; Aslan, Droyne, Vargr, Hiver, Zhodani, K'kree. They are mainly short write ups and modofiers to attributes but they are there and will allow an alien to be played.
