Quick question about point buy

OK on page 40 of the TMB theres the point buy option, I presume that characters get the basic training for their career for free since it isn't expressly stated otherwise.

Am I correct?

Yes, that is how I envision it as well. Pick a career, get all the Lavel 0 skills for basic training and then start buying whatever you want.
