Question in Regards to Planetary/Static Defenses

I know none of this is really covered in ACTA book and I have zero experience with Federation Commander or Star Fleet Battles.

Are there rules or information about planetary bases for Heavy Phasers or ground cannons of some kind. I was thinking one could work as a kind of 'missile battery' using Long Range (Type-III) Drones as planetary or asteroid defense arrangements.

I was just curious if anyone had already considered something or is even using something.

There are no rules as yet, but since they have recently been added to Federation COmmander (the source material for ACTASF), I'd expect to see them in ACTASF sooner or later.

Planetary defences in SFB were simply SSDs for small ships that didnt move and had a limited fire arc. How you do the arc is the most difficult point there.

Satellite defences were very small bases that sat in space.

You could convert from the SFB source material easily enough, or simply invent a few. You are looking at a few hull points, a few shields and a couple of weapons and run with it.
