Question for MOngoose Staff

Hey Guys, do each of you focus on one game, or do you swap between all that Mongoose Publishes.


If the second, do you choose which game to write for?

This will be repeated on the Conan Forum..

We all get a crack at the different games. Since joining in March I've written for Elric, Hawkmoon, RQ Generic, RQ historical (Samurai), Glorantha and B5. My next project is for Conan, and I'm looking forward to some Traveller projects too, at some stage next year.

Deciding what comes out is a secretive and elaborate process involving Things Men Should Not Know. But we writers get a great deal of input and yep, we can suggest our own projects (and have a great deal of control over those assigned to us).

I am a writer myself, but never did any RPG stuff. Just sort of Murder/Mystery - Mercinary writing for my own pleasure and that of friends.

I am glad to hear you have some control over what you write about.

I personally only play Conan and Runequest, and that is all my brain can handle at this time.

On the editing front there is a lot of variance and cross over as well, although we do get our own niches that can run for a while.

I have had some Conan, but Chris tends to have most of that, whilst Charlie is largely the Eternal Champion person. Glorantha is, for the moment, almost solely my baby and I will get a fair chunk of Traveller when it comes out.

I have worked/am working on RQ generic, Conan, B5, ACTA, VaS, RQ Glorantha, RQ Lhankhmar, Paranoia and the biggie (for me) RQ Slaine (in terms of effort and actual creative input to the final product). There is probably something I have forgotten in all of that as well.
